The first fundamentally new gearbox design in centuries.
The basic premise of Orbitless is very simple.
Remove the Ring Gear and replace with another carrier, attached via a second shaft in the planet. The carrier AND planet shafts are all offset by the same amount so the carriers rotate and the planets only circulate. THAT is what makes an ORBITLESS™ drive smooth, efficient and vibration-free
Orbitless uses standard gear components and takes advantage of most innovations in gear tooth design and optimization when implemented in an Orbitless gearbox. Orbitless’ measured results have changed the game from a Efficiency, Noise and performance perspective.

Ratios from 1.5:1 to 4:1 (in a single stage)
– No assembly criteria for exact ratios
– Sequential meshing & hunting teeth
– High ratios also avail
Inexpensive to manufacture
– No ring gear
– Enables increase use of plastics
– Thin drive enclosure using any material
– No exotic grinding & heat treating
More Efficient with Higher Speed Rating
– Low pitch velocity
– Low bearing speed
– Low inertia from non-rotating planets
– Low Noise / Vibration / Harshness
– Co-Axial or Offset Drive Shafts
The Orbitless Platform
Orbitless is not one gearbox design, but rather a platform that can be implemented in a variety of configuration options to meet your specific application requirements.
Very Low or Very High ratios
Back-Driveable or Self-Locking
In-line or Offset drive axes
Spur or Helical
Chain / Sprocket / Belt or Pulley options
